These Edmontosaurus teeth are partially complete, and measure about 0.25 inches in length. They were collected on private land in Wibaux County, Montana!

What was Edmontosaurus?

Edmontosaurus are part of a group of dinosaurs called hadrosaurs or "duck-billed dinosaurs." They are lovingly referred to as the "cows of the Cretaceous" due to their relative commonality.

Edmontosaurus lived during the Maastrichtian stage of the Cretaceous (66 million years ago), meaning they would've been among the last non-avian dinosaurs to roam the earth. They lived among some of the most famous dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Pachycephalosaurus.

They were herbivores that lived in what is now North America. Edmontosaurus utilized its tough beak to eat twigs, conifers, seeds, and other plant material. While it had no teeth in its beak, it did have hundreds of inner teeth used for grinding up tougher food for digestion.
