This Tyrannosaurus rex tooth is just a portion of what the full tooth used to be, but only this fragment was found, making them a great way to own a T. Rex tooth at a reduced cost. They were found in Montana and come from the Hell Creek Formation, an area rich in dinosaur fossils. We know they're tyrannosaurus rex from the serrations present on the fossil. Serrations are used to slice meat more efficiently, just like serrated steak knives, but with teeth.

Tyrannosaurs were large carnivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous (approximately 80.6 to 66 million years ago). Their size varied between species, but all varieties could grow to weigh at least 1 metric ton!

Two main tyrannosaurs have been described from the Hell Creek Formation: Tyrannosaurus rex (T-rex) and Nanotyrannus. The latter is hotly debated among paleontologists, as many believe that Nanotyrannus fossils simply represent juvenile T. rex.

The item you will receive will be the exact tooth shown. And is 12 mm in length.
