This ring contains three layers of soil from the KT Extinction Layer collected in Slope County, North Dakota. Each of the different colored sections represents its own geological time period—the grey soil is from the Cretaceous, the brown soil is from the post-dinosaur Paleogene, and the darkest section marks the meteor impact that made the non-avian dinosaurs go extinct!
Each section also contains fragments of Jurassic dinosaur bone and the Muonionalusta meteorite. The layers are also separated by larger Campo de Cielo meteorite chunks, with synthetic ember opal and orange glow powder added to create the effect of a meteor making impact!
We offer rings in two materials: Tungsten and Black Ceramic. All are durable, scratch resistant, and hypoallergenic.
This item is a Fossil Hoard exclusive and is produced in collaboration with Mari Mar Galleria, a Pennsylvania based creator of custom rings! Check out their website here: www.marimargalleria.com.
Each ring includes a box, satin storage pouch, microfiber cloth, and a UV light to charge the ring's glow powder.
